Anne of Green Gables Ice Cream Social
Sunday July 22, 2012
Time: 12-4pm
Price: $65

What: Create a timeless Anne of Green Gables assemblage box using a variety of old, vintage, discarded and modern supplies, through aging techniques, faux rust, cigar boxes and more.

Come revisit an era filled with general store whimsy, garden walks, straw hats and country fair flare. Lafayette is a town untouched by modern architecture, staying true to that timeless era!

All students receive a workshop kit, but are encouraged to bring some supplies/items they wish to use in their project.

After our projects are complete we will show them off, photograph them under the covered red bridge house, then engage in an ice cream social with several varieties of ice creams, frozen yogurt, toppings, whipped cream and cones, while we relax on the Piddlestixs porch which sits high above the street overlooking the Historic town and river stream, with some music piping away.

The price includes the workshop, the kit and the ice cream social. Refreshments will also be available as well.

Art Card Workshop $25

Students will make a variety of art cards or one extra large art card using a variety of papers, images, parts, pieces, trims, ribbons, found objects, doll pieces, etc.

BoHo Gypsy Bracelets
When: Sunday July 29
Time: 12-3pm
Cost:$35

Students will create bohemian aka BoHo, gypsy style bracelets using embroidery floss, beads, findings, metal, jewelry pieces and more.

Learn easy weaving/knotting techniques similar to the friendship bracelet style. Incorporate seed beads and gems into your weaves, stitch in jewels, metals, leather and more.

Please Note: Students are asked to bring some fave broken jewels to add into their pieces.

Students will learn various paper arts techniques, ruffling, crepe pleating, glittering, and party style.

Cake-licious Platter Workshop $40

Due to popular demand we are re-offering this workshop twice, so please makes sure you pick which day you are registering for:

Students will create a tiered cake stand w/pedestal base. Decorate your platters w/paint, jewels, trims, vintage finds, piano papers, doll parts, cupcake novelties and more. Each platter is perfect for holding your favorite dessert. 

Workshop price includes: project kit and accessories.

Note: Glass Cake Domes are available for an extra fee, please inquire about them, first come first order basis on those, glass domes are: $15 to 18 each, must be paid for in advance if ordering one.

Captured Jar Fairy Assemblage

Metal Crown Workshop $55

When: Sat. Aug.4

Time: 12:30-5:30pm

Create a mixed media metal crown using a metal base, found objects, rhinestones and more. A crown base, some findings and jewels will be provided.

Students need to bring:

-Extra broken or old jewelry, charms or pieces they wish to use on their crown.

Extra findings kits are available for $15 a bag the day of the workshop.

Students will learn a variety of metal and up-cycled techniques, light engraving and heat embossing as well.
